The Run for the Roses needs no introduction as the ultimate single event in thoroughbred racing. It is the oldest consecutively-run race of the Triple Crown. The tradition of serving Mint Juleps in a souvenir glass began in the late '30s. "My Old Kentucky Home" is played during the post parade.
