The middle jewel of the Triple Crown was named for the horse Preakness, the 1st stakes winner in 1870 at Pimlico in Baltimore MD. The prize contested for is a replica of the Woodlawn Vase, the original valued over $1 million. A "Black-Eyed Susan" is served in this souvenir glass. "Maryland, My Maryland" [O, Tannenbaum] is played during the post parade.

Black-Eyed Susan

2 oz. Grand Marnier
½ oz. white Creme de Menthe
½ oz. brandy
Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass.

Garnish with orange & cocktail cherry.
