Only 1000 of these were issued at $40 retail, but sold out almost immediately. Prices on this item are expected to fluctuate wildly for the first year before settling down. Current asking prices start at $80; give serious consideration to paying more than that until the situation stabilizes.
Take the current state of the Signature Series glasses as a lesson. They were also issued at $40 each and now the entire set of 13 and easily be bought for about $400 at auction, substantially less than the original total price. At one point the first one from 1992 was bringing as much as $200 alone. |
